Fahrenheit 451 #11

In the novel Fahrenheit 451, Guy Montag is a firefighter who must set fire to books. He goes into peoples houses that have books and he pours kerosene on the books and he sets them on fire. Fire is a very hot thing. It can do a lot of damage. It does because it is so hot and it is hard to stop it. Most people just wait for the fire to go out. Before the book was made, firefighters were people who helped to get fires to go out. They were needed because fires were something that were very dangerous and they can kill people. In the book, Guy in on a trip to start a fire and there is an old lady who steps into the room that is already covered in kerosene and she hads a match and she lights is and her house along with her went up in flames. She died. Fire is not something that people should mess with. Fire can kill people. It can also burn you to a crisp. Fire is something that when it happens it destroys everything, pictures, furniture, people, and much more. The reason that there is no need for real firefighters in this novel is because the houses are fireproof. This means that there is no fires and that no real firefighters are needed. Fireproof houses would be something great to have. Then we would not have to worry about insurence, or our houses burning down and loosing everything, or worrying about family or people dying in fires. Whenever I am at my grandmas hosue, we always have a fire lite. My grandpa and I sit by it and watch the flames. My granpa always says, "There is no two flames alike." That is something ironic because there is also no one two snowflakes alike either. Fire and ice are two completely different things. Dying in a fire or burning to death would be something very painful. It hurts just when I get a little burn. I would not want to die is a fire.
